CEREMONIAL DRAGON AND FIREWORKS AT IAC CHINA’S WORKSHOP OPENING CEREMONY
On 20 October, IAC China held a colourful ceremony to celebrate the opening of the company’s new workshop in Dongguan.
This brand new facility has been built to IAC's specification, and is designed for heavy fabrication, mainly to satisfy market demand for IAC’s Power industry clients in the Far East, Australasia and worldwide.
The new factory complements the existing facility, previously established to make architectural, audiometric and HVAC products, and its completion strengthens the company’s manufacturing capability in the face of increasing demand.
The new workshop occupies 4500 sq m, and has a crane capacity of 20 tonnes, and a roof height of 14m. It is designed with wide open bays and is capable of handling the largest of IAC products. This facility is complemented with substantial investment in new capital equipment, to ensure that IAC products can be manufactured to the highest quality standards.
The elaborate opening event – complete with ceremonial dragon, was hosted by Mr Olivier Darrieus, Chairman, and Mr Fred Zhang, General Manager of IAC China. Along with the IAC China team, guests were drawn from among IAC’s customer and supplier base. After the speeches, the official ribbon cutting was accompanied by traditional Chinese fireworks - a spectacularly loud start for a company whose worldwide reputation relies upon making the world a quieter place!
Fred Zhang said : "I am particulary grateful to the two key people who managed the construction and fit out of the new building, Carl Wang, our Operations Manager, and Mr James Zhan, Engineering Manager. They have spent the past six months managing this project. Our thanks go to them, and the team that has supported them, in achieving this important milestone in the growth of the IAC group. "
